DESIGN VII
Set in Zouk Mikael, this project involved designing an Arts Performance Center that harmonizes with the town’s historical and urban fabric. Respecting the 1600 sqm plot’s constraints, including setbacks, height limits, and exploitation ratios, I integrated an existing old building into the design, preserving its heritage while introducing contemporary performance spaces. The center features flexible indoor and outdoor venues, ensuring adaptability for various artistic performances. Inspired by the stone architecture of Zouk Mikael, the materiality blends modern interventions with traditional craftsmanship, creating a cultural hub that bridges the past and future of performance arts in the town.
