DESIGN VI
This project focused on designing a Museum of War in Batroun, exploring the intersection of history, memory, and spatial experience. The design aimed to create an immersive journey through conflict and reflection, using architectural gestures to evoke emotions tied to war and remembrance. The spatial organization incorporated contrasting atmospheres, from confined, somber spaces symbolizing loss to open, light-filled areas representing resilience and hope. Materiality played a key role, with a careful selection of textures and structures that emphasize the weight of history while integrating seamlessly with Batroun’s coastal and historical fabric.
